How It works
SimpleStability is a fully functional loading computer software system comprising three key components:
- SimpleStability - a type 2 loading computer software by IACS UR L5 classificxation, designed for analyzing ship's floating status, stability, and longitudinal strength;
- ModelEditor - a graphical and intuitive utility program where the user creates his own ship models;
- Web-based services where the user can download readily available models, verify and publish his own models and manage his account and license(s).
The SimpleStability and the ModelEditor are desktop applications. They operate independently without requiring a permanent network or internet connection.
SimpleStability offers two primary modes of operation:
- Stand-alone Mode: Users can utilize SimpleStability independently to simulate ship loading scenarios, assess stability parameters, and generate reports.
- Integrated Mode: SimpleStability seamlessly integrates with cargo planning applications such as SimpleStow or SimpleStow GC. In this mode, cargo planning data is automatically transferred to SimpleStability, providing real-time feedback on the ship's stability and strength parameters. This integration streamlines cargo stowage planning, ensuring efficient and safe cargo plans.
The system provides users with autonomy and control over ship models and program licenses. Here's how it works:
Registration: Users register on the AMT website to create an account, a quick and obligation-free process.
Software Installation: Users download and install the SimpleStability software package, including the SimpleStability and the ModelEditor desktop applications.
License Activation: Upon launching the program for the first time, users activate their trial or standard license, a fully automated process requiring internet connectivity. A one-month trial license is offered free of charge for evaluation purposes.
Model Acquisition: Ship models can be obtained by downloading from the AMT web server or creating own custom models using the ModelEditor.
License Extension: Users receive reminders to extend their license closer to the license expiration date. License extension can be conveniently done through the AMT website, with options for purchasing additional subscription periods.
Throughout the license validity period, users enjoy complimentary software updates and technical support as part of the service package.
